Featurely turns a job description into an interview-prep map and mock questions. This policy explains what happens to your data. The short version: no account, no signup, and your API key and content stay in your browser.
Your API key
Featurely is “bring your own key.” When you add a key it is saved only in your browser’s local storage. When you generate a map or quiz, your key is sent with that single request and used only to call the AI provider you chose (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, xAI, or Groq) on your behalf. We do not log, store, or reuse your key. You can remove it any time by changing the key or clearing your browser data.
Your content
The job descriptions you paste or upload, the maps we generate, your quiz answers, and your progress are stored in your browser’s local storage on your device. They are not stored on our servers, except that the text you submit is passed through to your chosen AI provider to generate results.
Third-party AI providers
To generate results, your job description and prompts are sent to the AI provider whose key you supply. That processing is governed by that provider’s own privacy policy and your account with them:
Cookies and analytics
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use your browser’s local storage only to make the app work (your key, your map, and your progress).
Hosting and logs
The site is served by our hosting provider, which may process standard technical information (such as IP address and request metadata) to operate and secure the service.
Children
Featurely is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
